The annual Vino con Stelle gala raised $550,000 to fund clinical cancer trials. Hosted at the Arizona Biltmore, the event assembled physicians, cancer survivors, donors and other community leaders supporting Gateway for Cancer Research’s mission to accelerate pioneering treatments.

Vino con Stelle, Italian for “Wine with the Stars,” lived up to its name with a star- studded guest list. Guests were treated to fine wines paired with gourmet cuisine, comedy by actress Caroline Rhea and an exceptional performance by Grammy- nominated singer Robin Thicke.

Basketball legend Spencer Haywood accepted the Mary Brown Stephenson Award for cancer advocacy. By funding early-stage research, Gateway, which has distributed more than $80 million to cancer centers worldwide over the past 32 years, helps visionary doctors transform bold ideas into revolutionary treatments that save lives.
